hey,
There is already many food options on in the canteen, especially when we have themed days. However I do take your suggestion on board and I will forward it to the canteen to see what they can do.
i think that in the common room each group should have their own little tiny bin, bith little white liners!! want me to invest in five little bins from wilkinsons over the summer? i can also buy some white liners so that each group can jus throw them away at the end of lunch and get a new one the next day!!!
hows that sound??
much loves

Im afraid matt that even i do not know what form teachers you will be having. Nevertheless i am sure that you will be Thoroughly happy with your new form teacher.
hi becky i was thinking, there should be a special prayer to be said on Tuesday 11 September 2007 for the twin towers attack remeberance?? Just thought it would be a nice thing to do and some silence throughout the school

Matt, as you only joined us last year you will perhaps not know that this is something we do. we say a prayer in form and also have a minutes silence–i will however ensure that it does happen this year again.
Now to answer your question, the reason you now have to do that is to achieve our healthy schools status. Schools now need to promote healthy eating and for that reason, the little rule your talking about has been implemented.
I know it may not seem ideal, but it stops those who only have cake for the dinner, which we can both agree is very unhealthy. I personally am glad that the rule has been brought in and i hope it goes someway to making all of us at Thomas More HAPPY and HEALTHY students.
hi becky i am fine thank you, how are u??
Ok lol just wondering! I dont have school dinners anyway, just buy a cake on a rare occasion!
‘Tis unheathly tho.
=)

Sorry I can’t think who you are, so you shall have to come say hello so I remember!
As for the minutes silence, you are not the first to ask me that question. I did expect for special prayers to be read in form and a minute silence to happen.
This unfortunately failed to happen, and is an issue i feel strongly about and so i shall be speaking with the Head regarding this. I can however reassure you that although a minutes silence did not take place, myself along with students and staff kept the victims family and friends in our prayers.
If you do have any suggestions of what we can do to remember the anniversary of 9/11 possibly to take place next week, let me know asap.
i can confirm that this issue has been raised in our student council meetings and is something we will be looking at shortly–brilliant suggestion keep them coming!
Kieran- i have been able to look at your comments unfortunately the system wont let me make them visible-don’t know why!
But the prob with dinner money machines and the drink vending machine will be forwarded. The problem between tech and English it because that is where our boiler is located, so do not worry about that. As for the sub-station query i cannot give you the go ahead as Head Girl please speak to a member of the senior team-along deputy’s corridor!
Hello, I know the Head Girl Becky runs this blog so this possibly will not be the best place to make the suggestion I have. Nevertheless I hope that staff do read comments left and it may trigger the same thoughts.
I was reading on the blog about it being Becky’s Last term after easter. How quick a year has gone since she was voted in. I know myself and many other parents along with my children and the rest of the students at St Thomas More will be sorry to see Becky go.
After she fought for the school against SERCO and won! I think we need to try and keep her. For someone to have such passion over the school is incredible and I don’t think we should lose that. Now I know we cant vote her in for a second year or anything like that, but could Mr Finnigan and the Governors consider making Becky a College Ambassador?
She must know the place inside out, get on well with staff, students, and parents. So why not have her as our ambassador. I understand she is likely to go onto university and be very busy, but I think theres a chance that with her commitment she could still attend open evenings, meetings, and possibly attend student council meetings as an overlooker to guide the children as I understand she has done so well this year. Basically have her there when shes available at school events.
I’d like to think that through the whole time my children are at the school they can have Becky as their role model.
Please Mr Finnigan and the Governors, I speak on behalf of parents and students.
May I say, as a student and a friend of Becky’s, I fully agree with the comment posted by A Smith. She is extremely dedicated to the college, and I know she would love to take on the role when she leaves, as I am sure, with this being her last term at St Thomas More she knows she is going to miss the place. I don’t know if teachers ever do look at the blog, but I intend to bring this suggestion to their attention!
Me n my friends were wondering if there is any chance you could get more food options for us in the canteen thanx xx
